Andy has an autobiography that is awesome.

He played in Neil sedakas traveling band. He was making good money, Neil wanted him To stay instead of joining with stewart and sting.

It was rough going until they started making money..

Stewart's brother was their manager.. that didn't help with reactions, but he never really said anything good bad about him.

As for sting and stewart...

the book opens with them in their own hotel rooms, delivered by helicopter and barely being able to look at each other.. their biggest stadium gig of their lives..

and yes, he does say sting would re arrange songs after the recording, or make a recording and tell them what to play.

If you listen to Stewart play on songs like " everything she does" he is just rushing thru the song. He is quoted as saying, he went into the studio and was told to play along.. he heard the song once and seriously I qoute " i said fck it and just wanted to get out of there, laid it in one take".

sting is ver6 charismatic, stewrat saw that, he didn't know sting was overly controlling, didn't let them.or wouldn't record their songs, and would re arrange songs after every one went home or re record after everyone left.. Andy is a phenomenal guitar player, he can play anything, stewart never plays a drum part the exact way twice. Both are top world players.

I saw them along with some other bands at a stadium in 1982. It was called The Police Picnic. Overall excellent show.
