I looked at the video. The truck driver clearly did not understand the situation. He was not aware of the danger his reckless actions caused. He didn’t just make a mistake. Criminal negligence.

Let him go and tell the family where he went. Reimburse them for the cost of the rope they hang him with.
Did you see him in court in this video? He needed a freaking translator! He does not speak English at all. Unreal that he drove any anything on our roads.
He was driving like he did in India. I have seen the video of drivers in India. There are no rules of the road. Crossing lanes and heading full throttle into oncoming traffic is normal.
But who are more responsible? His ignorance or the people that gave him the CDL in the first place?
Sure, he was the immediate cause of the deaths - but it shouldn’t have happened. Those that enabled it hold as much responsibility imho, nobody seems to be talking about it. To my understanding, he did not earn the CDL - was given it.
