This is why I keep saying Trump should form a new Mega party.
He would get most of the Republicans disillusioned with the Rinos running things.
And he would get many of the Democrats that are disillusioned with how insane their party has become.
It would not be a third party spoiler, it would instantly be the biggest party.
If the Republicans manage to push the Democrat party into extinction, the Republicans will quickly split into hostile factions which could form the basis for a new two-party system.
I note that the Democrats are doing a fine job of destroying their brand and alienating core supporters without any help from the Republicans. It will require a very small, consistent push to complete the transition.
Donald Trump will not be President by the time such things could happen, but he could be the leader of the MAGA Republican faction which forms a new party.
It is too early to try anything like that just yet. The Democrats must be shoved off the stage first.

There was a previous time in which the Ds looked close to collapse and people thought it was time to form a third party, close out the Dems and shift the country right.
Then the left introduced their creation Barak and upped their fraud to a new level and used the ensuing four years to embed hardcore communists into all levels of society.
We have some work to do before considering that again, including necessarily rooting out DC embeddeds and fixing the election system.
With anything like a fair ballot, I’d be happy with the choice of the (live, real, and eligible) vote.
