Amid all the other things that have rattled the deep state -- notably the search and seizure of evidence from Trump-hating John Bolton's residence and office -- President Trump has quietly shut down the 'five eyes' intelligence arrangement between the English-speaking countries -- the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, rocking the deep-state's overseas allies, too. The comity is over.
Which makes sense, given that these countries are now electing leftists, not moving in tandem with the U.S. on the policy front. It was one thing for Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher to pool intelligence about a common enemy. It's quite another for President Trump to be doing the same with the likes of Keir Starmer and Mark Carney, even if they're able to maintain civility with Trump, unlike a lot of leftists. They are simple going their own way. They have no common enemy. The same as true for whatever they've got Down Under.
But that's the broadest picture.
The secondary picture is that this alliance attempted to undercut President Trump during his first term. An alliance isn't much use if the allies have decided that you are the common enemy. More disgusting still, they have yet to admit their error, meaning, they will do it again, so bye-bye, bozos.
American Thinker's retired founder, Thomas Lifson, has been keeping an eye on this picture and has written a terrific analysis of the picture, drawing on the credible sources he knows. On his Substack, which I believe is free to read, his analysis is must-reading for all the angles and backstories that make this alliance a thing of the past.
He writes:
The “Five Eyes” intelligence sharing arrangement has put the United States’ hundred billion dollar+ intelligence budget at the service of the UK, Australia, Canada

How was judge Nap a “new man?” I know he’s a queer open borders POS.
Good riddance to the guys who spy on us for the Democrats, support terorists, and shill for the Globalisation movement.
And a worst loss for Taiwan.
And an ominous signal for the future security of the United States.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to believe and, more importantly, for China to believe, that the United States will interpose kinetically against a takeover of Taiwan. Absent such a credible belief, or fear, China will inevitably move aggressively against Taiwan and the United States will be put at severe geopolitical disadvantage.
Among the disadvantages, will be a precious relationship with Australia that we have perhaps squandered for no compelling reason. We have cast off these Pacific allies and in doing so encouraged aggression by China.
Our feckless policy in Europe requires us to ask if this disassociation from the Southern Pacific is but a part of a plan to withdraw to fortress America that this administration apparently wants to create, isolation that would extend from Panama to Greenland.
Considered in parallel with our estrangement from NATO and threatened abandonment of Ukraine, one is driven to the conclusion that the administration is bent on a fortress America isolationist last stand.
We shall have to wait and see whether our relationships with Japan and Korea prosper or whether they will also be cast aside.
If this president believes the security of the United States lies in doing "deals" with Russia and China to secure their benevolence, rather than aligning the world to deter their aggressions, we will be forced into fortress Europe when our internal leftists will ultimately gain enough control to open the gates and let the barbarians in.
Isolationism is the sure path to surrender.
“..Wonder if the timing of this is related to the John Bolton raids in any way... “
Most likely. One could almost take it to the bank, but no definitive proof of it. At least, not yet anyways.
No they’re not our allies but the British people themselves are begging us , once again, to come and save them.
It’s shocking and sad to see what has happened to the UK but they did this to themselves.
I think it’s rather irresponsible at the very least to put a socialist prime minister in office and then start bitching when everything goes to ruin and on top of that beg an ‘’ally’’ to bail you out.
Oh. Thanks.
All you have to do is look at how they treated their citizens during Covid.
They were co-conspirators in the Russia Hoax.
That makes them enemies of the American people.
