Three observations:

1. One shouldn't discount the possibility that the murder victim was killed elsewhere, dismembered, and the remains deposited behind the Waffle House at some later time.
2. I am surprised the smell hadn't attracted the attention of passersby / Waffle House customers earlier.
3. The discovery of a decomposed corpse just steps from your Waffle House has got to be terrible for business.
