I like the song but Lou Reed and Velvet Underground deserve co-writer credit (obvious ripoff of “Sweet Jane” riff).

I always liked her. We were both born on Oct. 29.

A song about Winona Horowitz just wouldn’t make a pun.
BTW, Winona is named after Winona, Minnesota.

However....she couldn’t act her way out of a paper sack. Yeah, she also couldn't pull of a heist at a Beverly Hills department store but we don't hold that against her either.

Daniel Lanois did an album and song called “for the Beauty of Wynona” in 1993. It seems to fit the category of music devoted to Ryder. The best song was “Lotta Love to Give.”

If she couldn't act her way out of a paper, how come she gets so many jobs, and from good directors.
She was supposed to be in Godfather III, and the day before shooting she dropped out. Every since then, she's been blamed for the failure of the movie, because Sophia Coppola replaced her.

Best song? The one without a name that has no words and no sound.

I think the best is, “Winona Ryder lights A Menorah,” by Adam Sandler.

Remember the Winona Ryder ping pong ball trick in the South Park movie?

Got me on that one - sort of
Chapin was writing about a fictional actress. Great song though
