If This Is Pro-Life, We Are In Big Trouble
New American Prophet ^ | August 23, 2025 | Jeffrey Ludwig

Posted on 08/23/2025 11:17:36 AM PDT by Rev M. Bresciani

In a recent article, Jenna Ellis remains anti-abortion, but in her so-called compassion for women who have abortions, she comes too close to justifying their decision. Her article reads more like a piece that could have been written by Hillary Clinton defending the need for abortion rather than promoting anti-abortion goals. She lists all the good practical reasons and the pressures put on women by their men to have abortions.

Reading her pro-life article, it seems that pro-life proponents must find themselves supporting vast therapy networks. It seems she is calling for policies that invest vast sums of money so that both men and women do not feel so threatened by accepting the baby's birth. However, she ignores God's role. Those difficult circumstances are nothing compared to the distortions and ultimately miserable God-generated circumstances if they sorrowfully accept the need to kill that baby, that human, that soul-bearing individual. This is high school pro-abortion drivel claiming to be anti-abortion. There is no reference to Almighty God. There is no mention of the guilt that follows abortion. There is no mention of the social consequences of abortion -- losing millions of people contributing to Social Security or persons available to serve in the military or to pay taxes that support our government. There is no mention of the joys of child rearing. The supposedly pro-life article relates all the fears of the women and the men who procreated these children and seems to want the readers to be more sympathetic with the irresponsible choices of those individuals who desire to have more "control" over their lives.

The irony here is that the women have in many cases become pregnant because of LACK OF SELF CONTROL. They want more self-control over their lives so they can have less self-control.

“The irony here is that the women have in many cases become pregnant because of LACK OF SELF CONTROL”

My understanding of biology may be a bit out of touch but don’t men have something to do with pregnancy?

“My understanding of biology may be a bit out of touch but don’t men have something to do with pregnancy?”

Nope. And not abortion either

The cultural acceptance of abortion is the dream world of a 17 year old boy

And girls and women have enabled, encouraged, accepted and violently defended it. They are idiots

I think a lot of pro-life women feel (feel is the operative word) that the hardline stances of the 1980s and 1990s and 2000s are no longer needed since we “won” the Roe v Wade battle.

Gentlemen: Only ever stick it in your wife.
Ladies: Only ever spread ‘em for your husband.

Jenna Ellis is a fake conservative. I used to follow her on X, but unfollowed her due to her nonstop Trump bashing. You know, Trump, the guy who gave her a job, and basically put her on the map. Otherwise, she would be a complete unknown. Talk about an ingrate!

“If the pro-life movement wants to defend life, it must also shame the behavior that puts women in the impossible position of choosing between their future and their child’s. We cannot claim to value life while letting men walk away from the lives they are also responsible for. It is time to call out the cowards—the ones who pressure, manipulate, or abandon.

We need to stop letting them hide behind silence or excuses. They need to man up and step up. Support doesn’t end at conception. Real men protect. Real men provide. Real men stay. The pro-life movement must be just as vocal in condemning the men who emotionally blackmail women into abortion as it is about condemning the act itself.”

Jenna Ellis is correct. I find the author of this hit piece rather hollow. As if he wishes women to stop becoming accidentally and irresponsibly pregnant because it costs him money, dressed up as critiquing women’s moral failings.

Guess who needs to restablish and value virtue? Men do. Men need to step up and keep it in their pants. They need to lead in reclaiming morality and virtue as a personal and social good. Women will follow.

I agree. Men need to be men and lead sober, responsible and God-fearing lives.

--- "Changed the title from the original at American Thinker. Was titled “Misguided Compassion in the Abortion Debate”

One observes additionally that the "reverend" does not give American Thinker credit as the source for the "reverend's" article, as if he were the publisher rather than a re-publisher of other people's work.

In academia, that is called plagiarism when not citing a complete source. In regular life, it is called of intellectual property theft.

"To read more articles by Jeffrey Ludwig click here" is itself a self-promoting lie, as there are no original sources. Only his site.

The is laughable, because Bresciani's own words say "You may re-publish any article whether original or curative, with full attribution to the author and the New American Prophet website. " Quite a "Christian" behavior....

It is the responsibility of both sexes. Men need to embrace the virtue of self-control and respect for women. Women need to expect and demand that their men act in a virtuous and manner. To this last point, Fulton J. Sheen once said: “To a great extent the level of any civilization is the level of its womanhood. When a man loves a woman, he has to become worthy of her. The higher her virtue, the more noble her character, the more devoted she is to truth, justice, goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. The history of civilization could actually be written in terms of the level of its women.”

Its both men and women that need to change. Women have agency so don’t blame this at the feet of men. Proverbs warns of loose women corrupting men for instance so even God doesn’t buy your opinion.

Here we go again.

The author is a personal friend, and he submitted this article to me. If he made multiple submissions, I would not know—but we always publish Jeffrey’s material as it is received.
American Thinker is not my source for the article—the author is.

I cannot speak for American Thinker but Jeffrey has full attribution on our site.

Your quite hung up.

I think, only one or two states have allowed men to have a say about a woman’s abortion. But we all know that it takes two to tango, and men have notoriously refused to pay for the dance.

The columnist is "E. Jeffrey Ludwig" - As seen in: LifeSiteNews.com, American Thinker, Before It's News, SGT Report, Technocracy News, Lucianne.com. ( https://muckrack.com/e-jeffrey-ludwig/articles )

MuckRack makes no mention of E. Jeffrey Ludwig -- a New Yorker -- on "New American Prophet."

The correctly titled article -- "Misguided Compassion in the Abortion Debate" -- was republished giving American Thinker the credit.

Source: Misguided Compassion in the Abortion Debate 21 August 2025

One also notes that the columnist uses a first initial -- E. Jeffrey Ludwig -- in both the American Thinker and the site -- "qoshe" -- has a link to return a reader to the American Thinker article.

The "reverend" leaves of the first initial, and monikers him as "Jeffrey Ludwig." Sloppy, at the minimum.

Agree 100%.

If men are to be the moral leaders, pray for a cultural shift, towards a world where male chastity isn't seen as something to be scorned or ridiculed.
