Caitlin Clark, the standout guard for the Indiana Fever, has become one of the most electrifying talents in the WNBA. Her scoring prowess, playmaking ability, and leadership have not only helped elevate the Fever but also brought unprecedented attention to the league.
However, the 2025 season has been anything but smooth for Clark, whose ongoing injury issues and the team's internal struggles are raising serious questions about her future in professional basketball.
Clark's season has been plagued by multiple injuries. She first suffered a right groin injury on July 15, which kept her off the court for more than a month. During a solo training session on August 7, she sustained a bone bruise on her left ankle, further complicating her recovery.
The Fever have yet to provide a clear timeline for her return, leaving fans anxious about her availability for the playoff push.
Is Caitlin Clark coming back?
Popular WNBA content creator Rachel DeMita has weighed in bluntly on Clark's situation and fears she may not be back this season - or perhaps at all.
"I don't think Caitlin Clark is coming back," DeMita said, blunt and unfiltered. "And honestly, that's the thought on everyone's mind right now."
DeMita's candid assessment reflects the unease surrounding Clark's recovery and the Fever's handling of the situation. While head coach Stephanie White remains more measured, stating: "The hope is that she's back."
Either way, fans are growing impatient, with many expressing frustration online and a sense that they have "had enough" of the uncertainty.

Yep. Certainly the WNBA players are not "feminine". But there are exceptions, obviously.
It's obvious that the league was not recruiting "feminine" players. Like you've said, that did not attract viewers to the league in the first 30 years.
Help us out.
Don’t post something obscure and then tell us to look it up. That’s frankly kinda impolite.
What does the phrase, “Make fetch happen”, mean?
“Thank you for your attention to this matter”.
I don't need basketball knowledge to see all the flagrant fowls she is receiving in each and every game by opposing black players.
Maybe it's you who are blind to the racist attacks against her........Sheesh!

Every clip I’ve seen of so-called abuse by black lesbians against CC is a standard basketball play. Flagrant fouls, when they happen, are part of the game. That’s why the penalty for a flagrant foul is more than for a regular foul. It’s a physical sport. No one is getting away with abusing CC. The fact that she gets more than her share of flagrant fouls speaks to her fantastic talent, not her skin color.
If CC can’t cut it against “angry black lesbians with a vendetta” perhaps she needs to retire now to the golf course.
If thats your idea of a “brutal on court incident” you clearly haven’t watched enough basketball to be commenting on it.
Maybe Taylor Swift will hire her as an event coordinator.
Just because you want it to be racially motivated doesn’t make it so.
I guess you haven’t been watching any of the games. Or replays.
Not even a consideration, she donates many times that to charity every year. She has already signed for many millions in advertising fees. Most here don't know it but Caitlin currently is the most popular athlete in all of sports. Money isn't even an issue to her.
Her salary is not important, do you have any idea how many 100 million she has in endorsement contracts? I thank European Basketball offered her 25 million.
Care to tell us how many weren't even called? The refs ignore most of the fouls on her and call many unearned fouls by her. The whole league is corrupt because Angel Reese was supposed to be the super star and Caitlin took the wind out of her sails.
I have watched exactly 2 basketball matches since I graduated high school in 1956, both were the Globe Trotters but the whole Caitlin thing got my interest piqued so I watch the highlight of her games, on YouTube, just to see how badly she was mistreated on the court and it is sickening. So instead of speculating without any knowledge of what is actually happening, try to watch some of it.
I hope you are not serious because it tells us a lot about you if you are?
I can’t read your mind. What exactly does it say about me?
They should be calling more fouls.
Nevertheless, 17% is still a high percentage of flagrant fouls called against CC.
They play differently against CC.
The refs are not aggressive enough in officiating games when CC is playing in them.
