It may be inexcusable to withdraw support of candidate Omar Fateh, but the Minnesota is in an existential struggle to maintain credibility in an increasingly splintered political landscape.
Hubert Humphrey would not recognize what the DFL has become. Political reliability is not what it used to be.

Most of the Somalis here in Maine actually came up to Maine from Ohio, Minnesota and Georgia because of two reasons.
Their number one complaint: They and black americans did not get along. They say they cant even understand the black american english so they chose a state with a small black american population.
Number two: The state of Maine was advertising to them in those states to come to live in Maine informing them of the many social benefits they could take advantage of.

Oh.... and you know where many of those Somalis that went to Ohio, Georgia and Minnesota actually came from?
UK and other Western European nations. Once a citizen of Europe, you qualify for a US VISA. Yes, many are Europe’s share of accepted Somali refugees now living in USA.
