If they had a humility contest, I would win it.
He’s so humble that he doesn’t want anyone to know
BTTT
People always say Trump is narcissistic. I’ve heard bloviating doctors say it in passing
No he’s not
I have dealt with narcissists. They are destructive to anyone around them. Good people. Productive people anyone they can use to get attention. Anyone who gets in their way. They use and abuse
Donald Trump knows how good he is. He fires people who will get in their way way of progress. He is honest about people. Out loud. He compliments more people than he insults especially in his second term where he has people around him who are working not like his first term where he had people around him who were there for him to learn from. How does this sick system operate. What are these evil creatures up to
It takes humility to be successful. Humility is knowing who you are if it’s great at something or a lot of things then admit it so God can use that
Trump really isn’t humble but he’s honest. What you see is what you get. And that’s impressive in a world of phonies.
Oh Lord it’s hard to be humble when you perfect in every way…to know me is to love me…
Trump has an ego but it’s not used for dastardly or undermining evil intentions. Big difference vs. the charlatan bamboozler.
I don’t know how someone gets to humble with Trump, but I do think he may be humble before God. That may be possible.
I wouldn’t call him humble, but he is capable of having fun with his role, and to some degree using the schtick to sell the message.
He sees the comedy in his life and in his position, and revels in it. I will take that 100x over than the nihilistic existentialists who view life and civilization as a catastrophe that must be escaped or at best endured.
Ping for later
He’s so humble - That’s why he has to stamp his name on everything. /sarc
I agree. This is one thing I disagreed greatly with preacher John Piper about.
He did not support President Trump’s reelection because of supposed pride. While it is true that pride is a serious sin, it is also true that righteous judgment is not superficial.
And I think the comparison of Trump and Obama makes a very strong case.
There are a lot of very prideful politicians who are also pretty good at playing the part of the “humble man”. They remind me of Wackford Squeers, the character in Charles Dickens’ “Nicholas Nickleby” who constantly declared himself to be a “humble man.” Despite his repeated declarations of humility, Squeers was very cruel and exploitative in his treatment of the boys under his care, starving and beating them just because he could.
