I think his being shot at and nearly dying jolted him a bit. He very much credited God for saving his life then. He may have reverted back to his normal self but I think his near assassination may have had a profound change.
Thanks for making me chuckle. Well done.
I agree. This is one thing I disagreed greatly with preacher John Piper about.
He did not support President Trump’s reelection because of supposed pride. While it is true that pride is a serious sin, it is also true that righteous judgment is not superficial.
And I think the comparison of Trump and Obama makes a very strong case.
There are a lot of very prideful politicians who are also pretty good at playing the part of the “humble man”. They remind me of Wackford Squeers, the character in Charles Dickens’ “Nicholas Nickleby” who constantly declared himself to be a “humble man.” Despite his repeated declarations of humility, Squeers was very cruel and exploitative in his treatment of the boys under his care, starving and beating them just because he could.
I have dealt with narcissists also.
You are correct: Trump is NOT a narcissist, and any bloviator, doctor or not, does not know what they are talking about. They reveal their ignorance.
0bama definitely IS a narcissist. Quintessential at that!
I believe that he is humble before God. I think the assassination attempt probably brought it all into sharp focus. We don’t hear much about that side of him.
"Inquring minds" would have at least read the article if they were truly enquiring.
