I've been hearing variations on that theme for over 30 years. Yet despite decades of promoting leftist propaganda, Big Media is bigger and richer than ever.

Culture is a slow boiling frog. Many Hollywood products that offended conservative parents in the 1980s (e.g., heavy metal, slasher films) are fondly remembered by conservative parents today.

A generation from now, conservative parents will complain that Hollywood is no longer making good, old-fashioned movies like last year's Snow White.

There are quite a lot of us who suspect that these studios have been funded by parties who are interested in cultural programming. The USAID money was probably no small part of that. Now that it has been cut off, some programs and media projects may mysteriously disappear. Now, other Soros-type donors probably exist, but I don't believe for a second that the woke Hollywood trash is actually making money on its own.
