Neat. :)
I saw a lot of houses moved when I was a kid, I thought it was really weird, especially cutting them in half if they were large.
A few decades ago, some guy bought a house in the Hollywood area of California. He wanted to preserve its historical value before construction crews were going to demolish it. So, he bought the house and moved it to another location that he didn’t have permission to move it to, then he bought that property later.
That house now sits awkwardly at a corner, and is now a chiropractor‘s office.
This was the Michael Myers house used in John Carpenter‘s original Halloween from 1978. The guy who bought and moved it didn’t even know until it was pointed out to him later.
Impressive!
I love old churches and those that refrain from destroying them and go to these lengths to restore them are to be commended.
