They have one. The Maverick. They are pretty nice and you can get a good trim model around $30,000.

They would be better off with hybrid models rather than total electrics.

How about a truck with ZERO computer chips?

Needs a longer bed, two doors, no turbo, and a frame. Other than that, great.

Ford Senior VP - “We’ll NEVER be able to lose money and market share like GM can”...

Oh -

and

“These full-sized SUVs and pickups are emissions-heavy”

NO, they aren’t. The only way you could kill yourself running one in the closed garage, for probably close to the last 20 years, would be from it using up the oxygen if the structure was poorly ventilated. The only way that sentence works is if you redefine what comes out to include CO2...

So they are going to piss away their heavy duty F series for an Electric truck. Wow. Those tards should come drive I-10 in Texas for a week. Like San Antonio to El Paso in one of their electric toys. Then take a look at all the F-250/350’s that pass them up when their toy has run out of juice.

Make a basic ranger sized pick-em up with a diesel engine.

A work truck.

Fill the void that is filled by the Toyota Helix overseas.

People who want work trucks do not want electrics. They will settle for gas but they really want a good diesel.

I met a high school kid who was driving a 1978 F-250 long bed.
He bought it at auction for $1,000. It needs some work, but the major components were all in good shape. He has a powerwashing company and this is his work truck.

Kid is way ahead of the game in making good decisions.

Idiots, people do not want an EV truck. The Ford CEO is a company wrecking disaster.

I love my 460 powered Ford truck, in spite of the dismal fuel economy. It rocks.

1000% agree.

The Hilux diesel 5 or 6 speed would be fantastic!

The old trucks are going for premium prices especially the V6s. V8s are like gold.

The problems with the new trucks for work trucks is they have a bunch of electronic stuff that will be totally unusable in 5 years and are mostly unnecessary.

You get a 1980 or 90s truck and toss in a phone charger that connects to the cigarette lighter and that is all you need.

How about a truck with ZERO computer chips?

You want to go back to points and carburetors (or mechanical fuel injection)?

Safety regs require anti-lock brakes, etc. Chips are part of modern, legal cars.
