50 years ago a friend of mine worked at SAC headquarters with the job of determining which targets would do the most damage to Russia if bombed. I don’t know if this is still true, but Russian production then was based on “One Big Plant” for everything they produced. Most of their oil refining capacity back then was concentrated in central Russia making the bombers back then having to penetrate deep into Soviet territory before reaching their target. Today’s technology makes this approach very susceptible to drone attacks because of this “concentration” philosophy. I think Putin is between a rock and a hard place.

As to John Varga's London, gas prices there in USD are about three times the price I paid these last two days.
As to the EU and Ukraine? About three times what I paid too.

If 11% has been cut, that would about 0.6 million barrels lost, leaving 5 million bpd of capacity (before repairs), and 1.4 million bpd in excess of domestic consumption.
