Wild video shows the moment a hulking mountain lion strolled through the front door of a California home like it owned the place, before coming face-to-face with the terrified man inside.
Jeff Tenney was in the kitchen of his mother’s house in La Verne, Los Angeles County, on Saturday afternoon when he found himself locking eyes with the brazen big cat.
“Out of the corner of my eye, I hear and see and feel the large presence,” he told KABC. “[I] peeked around the corner of the dining room, and we locked eyes for a moment, and I knew it was a lion.”
The mountain lion walked in through the open front door of the suburban home and ran out the back door after spotting the human inside.

The cat has a tracking collar. If anyone is harmed by that cat, one wonders if property owners should sue whoever is tracking the cats for not having warned them DFW, or Animal Control of its presence in that neighborhood and removed it from the area.
Mountain lions are overpopulated in California. Chances are this one will die soon of starvation, injury fighting other lions, or being hit by a car.
They exchanged phone nu,bers before the lion left
And gonna need a bigger litter box!
Well...they say that the most dangerous critter in the forest is the two-legged kind.
But, what idiot would leave his front door wide-open these days, forest or not?
That coulda went sideways in a hurry!
Come on in, Big Kitty, and make yourself at home. There’s milk in the refrigerator as a well a big salmon I just bought yesterday. There are some cat toys and a big scratching post you’re gonna love!
Hey, that “scratching post” was the new sofa! :D
You’re right. A ringtail cat got into my house once. It was hell trying to get him out. Vicious little SOB.
ROFLMAO!
That’s a mighty long face for a mountain lion.
I remember when California banned the hunting of mountain lions. Now they are everywhere there.
And they built a bridge over the 101 freeway so they can find more pets and people to eat.
Owner of house had a dog nearby...cougar didn’t go for it. Owner was very lucky....he coulda’ been the meal ticket.
If I left my doors open, over ten species of critters would wander into the house in no time. Mountain lion most unlikely. Bobcat maybe. I’m glad the feline escaped. This idjit needs to keep his doors closed and his kids/pets, if any, better protected.
the guys last words would have been: “here, kitty, kitty”.
and very hungry.
Which was the first to break into:
“When I’m calling youuuuuuuu....”
