Wild video shows the moment a hulking mountain lion strolled through the front door of a California home like it owned the place, before coming face-to-face with the terrified man inside.
Jeff Tenney was in the kitchen of his mother’s house in La Verne, Los Angeles County, on Saturday afternoon when he found himself locking eyes with the brazen big cat.
“Out of the corner of my eye, I hear and see and feel the large presence,” he told KABC. “[I] peeked around the corner of the dining room, and we locked eyes for a moment, and I knew it was a lion.”
The mountain lion walked in through the open front door of the suburban home and ran out the back door after spotting the human inside.

Best case scenario
-
The mountain lion walked in through the open front door
...................................
Not a good security strategy.
Better open up about a dozen cans of Fancy Feast. And quickly!
they locked eyes. That sounds romantic
That lion looks very thin
“Some enchanted evening,
You may meet a stranger.
You may meet a stranger,
Across a crowded room!”
Appears to be skinny.... and hungry.
In mtn lion country, ya get what ya vote for!
Have fun with that.
Better a mountain lion coming in your open front door than a couple of illegal aliens with machetes.
There are four legged predators - and there are two-legged predators.
Don't leave your door open, ya dummy!
“...Better a mountain lion coming in your open front door than a couple of illegal aliens with machetes...”
For sure!
One could probably make a pretty good case and get off lightly for defending oneself inside their own home against a mountain lion. Making a case for defending oneself from machete-weilding illegals in one’s home? Probably not so much given the insanity we live in today. Spit.
No kidding!
That’s why i carry a gun ,even watching tv. Home invasion of the animal kind isn’t always human animals.
Nice kitty. Nice kitty. Ahhhhhhh!!!
PsstPssst Pssst PssstPssstt
And, you never know when something will come out of the TV.
He told the Genie of the magic lamp, “I wish to meet a cougar” and wasn’t specific enough...
LOL. I had a fox walk up to my open porch door once and look in at me. It then turned around and left. But it just seemed curious.
At least he had the sense not to try to take a selfie with it.
The lion didn't turn around and go out the front door. It navigated through the house and used the back door instead. This lion is way too familiar with the house.
