He is a secular Christian as far as I can see, Your reference is accurate, but I don't think it is advice of any kind being given to him. From reading that quote above, it seems clear to me he is just filling space and speaking off the cuff, trying to be humorous. I don't think he is thinking of his eternal soul...just shooting from the hip as he always does.

We can hope he finds Christ and can find eternal life, but that is up to him. This seems to just be politics.

You may very well be spot on, President Trump being President Trump... There are some who preach and believe 'soul' sleep, which is not Scriptural ... It is the 'overcomers' side of Heaven, Christians should strive to return...

What I find the most relevant, about having a person named Trump, leading our nation and pretty much the world, is the fact there are 7 Trumps given ... Matthew 24; Mark 13; and Luke 21... I view these events as 'warning' as to which season this old earth is entering.
