Orban is correct and Trump is DEAD WRONG about allowing the Ukraine to join the NATO, which now needs to be dissolved anyway!

Orbán has been called the Hungarian Trump because Orbán always puts his own country first. Hungary’s interests come first.

I think (hope) Trump respects that.

Orban is probably the only sane one of the EU ... who would want a bunch of corrupt Nazis to join the corrupt Fascist EU?

These articles are so superficial. None explain why Hungary opposes Ukraine’s membership in the EU. Or they claim its because Orban is Putin’s stooge (sound familiar?). If Orban opposes Ukraine using the EU as a Trojan Horse to become part of the EU mutual security arrangements, then he is right to oppose it. Ukraine can join the EU without any security guarantees.

If most Ukrainians could work in the EU, few would be left to work in Ukraine.

For their own safety against future drafts, the young men of Ukraine would head west.

Ukraine might get equality in goods and services export.

Here’s a security guarantee that I think EU citizens and Americans can live with:

Ukraine shall have the right to buy listed weapons
[Patriots, anti-aircraft weapons, artillery shells, missiles]
from the US, EU and possibly the UK
at prices in line with what the source entity government(s) would pay,
subject to listed restrictions,
all purchases to be subject to veto by the EU as EU law may provide.

The last clause is in case Ukraine gets a pro-Russian government or misbehaves badly.

Do not let Ukraine join NATO!

What a stupid idea.

Trump should not be augmenting the EU, which is in the socialistic/LGBT/censorship orbit.

This makes no sense. If Trump wants there to be peace between Russia and Ukraine, then there is no possible way that Russia will agree unless Ukraine never becomes a member of NATO. We should have exactly ZERO interest in making Ukraine a member of NATO, actually quite to the contrary, we should seek to freeze them out. However, we should get some concessions in return for that. From my point of view, it seems like the Kamala Harris speech in November 2021 that spoke about Ukraine’s becoming more and more ready to become a member of NATO was the straw that broke the camel’s back and caused the Russians to invade.

Victor Orban is correct here. Let’s get some security guarantees for Ukraine, let’s have them rearm and have their army trained, but Ukraine should be a decidedly neutral country, exactly like Austria was during the Cold War. This eliminates a huge potential problem with very little trouble. I honestly don’t know what Trump is thinking here. FYI, I voted for the man three times, and would gladly vote for him again if he were ever to run for office. But he is making a mistake here.

The EU is a bigger threat to the US than Russia is.
