The choice between electrons on a screen , or what you can hold in your hands…or place your feet on….the reckoning is coming.
Any other make of car beats a Fiat.
When capital replaces labor and capital is effectively free to those who already wield it (because of low interest rates), what is the point in an extended apprenticeship when most any industrial skill set is subject to rapid replacement? This isn't a product of conspiracy but is instead a technical reality.
To my mind, one solution is to develop markets demanding skill sets that are not so easily replaced. I have such an industry in mind.
