President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky put on friendly faces in front of the world’s media in the Oval Office Monday — avoiding a replay of their ugly spat from February — as the American leader attempts to hammer out a peace deal in eastern Europe.
Trump, 79, reflected approvingly on the fact that Zelensky, 47, chose to wear a military-style suit in a sign of respect — ditching his usual camoflauge wardrobe, and both leaders handled occasionally hostile press questions without clashing.
Zelensky said there were “two parts” that Kyiv needs as part of any peace deal, including a “strong Ukrainian army” featuring Western weaponry, training and intelligence sharing, and also persistent backing of “big countries.”

Somebody must had advised Zelinskyy about 5 major facts.
(1) Trump’s term ends on January 20, 2029.
(2) Trump has a FAFO attitude, don’t cross him, and he doesn’t have much personal skin in the game about Ukraine.
(3) The Republicans and Democrats control Congress until at least January 3, 2027.
(4) Justice Thomas was appointed by Bush41, Roberts & Alito were appointed by Bush43, and 3 others were appointed by Trump.
(5) Thousands of Ukrainians are dying each week right now and that’s not likely to change anytime soon if something isn’t done towards peace.
Did anyone else notice that Zelinskyy wasn’t falling for the usual Dem trick of trying to make Trump look bad and that Zelinskyy didn’t dare criticize Trump on anything?
This Oval Office meeting today has to really piss off the partisan Dems. Trump was attacking them mercilessly with jabs while he was. Does Trump still remember that he was almost assassinated and that the NY “justice” system (and others like Jack Smith and Fani Willis) were trying to destroy him and would still like to do so?

But if they rope us in to some sort of security “guarantee” and selling weapons to NATO, for which we’re the largest funder, the laugh will be on us.

How about NO? This effectively gives Zelensky the NATO protection he demanded all along and keeps us linked directly to corrupt Ukraine, which of course the Democrats will just love when they get back in power.
It also makes us sitting ducks for the larger war that the Weenies crave.
