NATO expansion was a nutty thing to do. NATO should have gone away in 1994.
Russian imperial expansion did not end in 1994. Nor was Ukraine going to join NATO anytime soon. The claim that Russia was provoked because of this is laughable.
That’s not what Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, and their friends in the USA think. Look around your neighborhoods in every sizable metro area of America, especially in the presidential battleground States & congressional districts, to see what I mean.
