Years ago I worked for a bank in Miami. One of the officers embezzled a ton of money and fled to Central or South America. The leaders of that country demanded payments from him to keep from being sent back to the US. When they eventually had taken all his money they sent him back.

If he is doing as he is accused, he deserves it. But the Ukrainian people do not deserve to be ground under Putin‘s heel.
