That’s what I was thinking. They still did damage though.
> Two juveniles are facing serious charges… <
That could mean a few hours community service, picking up roadside trash. Or it could mean 10 years in prison.
The American criminal justice system sure is a head-scratcher.
🤔
The American INjustice system, these days.
BINGO !!!
They should be sentenced to helping to clean up the mess they created and then be put to work doing the nasty cleaning of things that need to be done during the regular maintenance of Railroad Engines and other Rail Cars.
Make them do it whenever they are not in school (under the assumption that they do actually go to school) for the next 10 years.
Then after they (hopefully) graduate school they will be offered a job with the Railroad Company (which ever one it is) starting at 50% of the normal pay scale for a New Employee. They should be kept in the know of how much monetary damage they caused and how long it will take them to pay for what they did.
Maybe they will understand What/Why/When they were STUPID punks and somehow redeem themselves and lead a productive life in the long term and become useful members of society.
I know that I’m dreaming that this will happen but one never knows...
Somebody knows their names. I doubt if the Boys could resist taking a few Selfies while ‘driving’ the train. So their face pics are out there in some Cloud somewhere.
For certain crimes, with the high potential of causing multiple deaths, it should be proper to make the names of these youths public information.
They will likely outgrow such poor decision skills, but until they do, the public should be warned and wary.
This happened where?
And a ban on "assault trains."

What’s next, planes?
Ha! “Face serious charges”. They are juveniles, they get anonymity and not only will have their record wiped clean. Nothing will happen. What a joke.
Why were the trains open and no security?
Yours is a far better solution than simply jailing the kids and turning them into hardened criminals, or giving them meaningless probation, a slight fine, and a slap on the hand.
Sounds like good “training”.
I knew a guy who when he was in his teens came across an unattended idling police helicopter and decided to jump in. He actually got the thing off the ground for a few seconds before setting it back down and facing a bunch of very angry cops.
He got lots of community service for that one.
Thank You 🙏🇺🇸
They need their butts whipped so as not to be able to sit for awhile & maybe something they will remember.
Hopefully, some dumbass “judge” will sentence them to 90 days of enforced arts and crafts with real crayons.
For a while I didn’t have a car. I had a helicopter. There wasn’t any place to park it, so I just tied it to a lamp post and left it running.
