America First doesn’t always in line with the conservatism, either from economic or culture.

AF allows tariffs. Economic market liberalism in general is against it. Interestingly, is not that AF disagree with free market. It just tries to be realistic, not being ideologist: if the other guy is not doing it (free market), why should I suffer alone from it?

AF allows everyone who agree with the constitutional republic principles to join the movement, including gays, Muslims, and so on. The (Christian) conservatives in general are against it, or at least only tolerate as long as those people do not proselytizing.

I see a crack in MAGA if the Scotus recinds the gay marriage decision, as being pushed by some conservatives.

“America First doesn’t always in line with the conservatism, either from economic or culture.”

That’s the point.

American Conservatism needs something to conserve.
I believe that’s the thrust of MAGA.

Your points regarding AF are generally spot on.
BUT . . . (and ya knew there would be a but.)

It’s a Republic for American Citizens, and LEGAL residents, all following our Constitutional order.
Your qualifying statements about gays, muslims, and the hit on Christians are distractions.

Hamas is not welcome in America. Broadly, Islam as a governing order can’t work in Western Civilization. That battle has raged for 2,000 years.

In America, there should be no “license” to get married. (look up the shocking history of it in the US). You do what you want to do.
It’s no business of the government who you share your life with. Children are an entirely separate issue and have not much to do with “marriage” anyway.
Any “benefits” individuals want agree to should be as a contract, enforceable under simple contract law.
I die, you get my stuff.

The old “Moral Majority” is a ghost of it’s past. Too many “Christian Summer Camp” issues to survive.

My friend, it’s an 80/20 issue.
We agree on the 80.
Peace to you.

“”””The (Christian) conservatives in general are against it””””

What is it that the core MAGA voters are against?
“The predictable: the evangelical vote remained the same nationwide as it had in the past two presidential elections, with about 80% of White evangelical Christians favoring President-elect Donald Trump.”

“post-election research shows that Christian support was crucial in Donald Trump’s 2024 landslide victory, showing that Christians made up 72% of the electorate and gave Trump 56% of their vote.
In comparison, among people of other faiths or no faith, Vice President Kamala Harris was preferred with 60% of the non-Christian vote. Although Harris won a larger share of the non-Christian vote than Trump’s share of the Christian votes, Christians outnumbered non-Christian voters by more than a five-to-two margin—delivering the decisive Nov. 5 victory to President Trump.”
