Turning down an award is not being political. If he had accepted it, he would have lost half his audience.
I never said he snubbed Obama. He didn’t snub Trump. He declined invitations from both. He declined the invitation to go to Obama’s inauguration and he declined Trump’s offer for an award.
Trump wouldn’t let him jump on the furniture.

You know there have been the rare people who have even turned down a Presidential medal of Freedom also.
What is Cruise being chastised for turning down a meaningless award and honor like that. And then Trump chooses the band KISS, the Kennedy Center Honors are pretty much nothing anymore.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom has been greatly cheapened in the last 40 years, given to people who didn’t deserve it.

Not accepting an award from a President does not mean being subversive.
He has a choice. I think he made the right one. More Hollywood types should.
Cruise knows his place. That he does and people bark about that is indicative of wanting groupthink.
Accepting the election process and recognizing the president is political only in the mind of political people
Group think is denying that Trump is the president not the other way around
