According to the title Trump owns the Kennedy Center.
No, group think is suggesting that someone HAS to accept an award from a President.
I wonder if you would have the same outlook if a Democrat was President.
Like I said, we'll never agree on this.
Good luck.
Weasel!
I think Trump would win because he is a newly energized Christian and demons just hate that.
I recall some of the last segments of the series were covered in Clearwater - everyone in politics there bowing down to the “cult”, huge office buildings that were vacant, owned by the “cult” and electricity remained hooked up - for what reason, I don’t think they ever said but it was what the “cult” wanted. I never could make myself call it a church...and it was annoying through the series to hear it referred to as a church..I remember when Leah Remini sat on a bench on some of “their” property there and she was told she needed permission to sit there!! I think she told the guard or whatever where to go - LOL...She was perfect for blowing the whistle on all of it...A+ job...

Fury is misstating the argument. No one’s saying Cruise HAS to accept an award from a President. The question is whether the excuse some people are giving for his decision to not attend is accurate. Now, maybe he really has a scheduling conflict that prevents him from attending - but no one, on either side of the issue, believes that.
He’s clearly making a decision based on politics. He’s chosen to cow to the left’s insistence that attending a non-political event attended by the commander in chief is unacceptable when that commander in chief is Donald Trump. By accepting the left’s premise, Cruise has already chosen a side.
There’s nothing smart or apolitical about Cruise’s decision. The left’s false framing of the issue had already made it a political issue. Running away from that wasn’t going to change that.
So Cruise had a decision to make - either appease the left, accept their false premise and decline the invitation, then rightfully be criticized by the right for agreeing with their narrative or being too cowardly to publicly challenge it; Or accept the invitation and and anger the left.
Cruise was faced with a choice. He might have preferred not to have to deal with it, but that wasn’t an option. The invitation was given and either decision was going too “alienate half the country”.
He chose to appease the left by not attending but lied about the reason, hoping to avoid blowback from either side. But, unless he agrees with the left, it was a cowardly decision. He could have accepted the invitation and then made the point to publicly state that this was not about politics but simply a humble acceptance of an honor being given to him. But that would have required him to stand for something and would have required a degree of character and courage that he apparently doesn’t possess.
We’ll agree to disagree - good points.
Men have given their lives for this country in combat. And this sellout, simp, was can’t even stand up to the woke mob
Fair enough.
Tom is scheduled to receive a 2025 Governors Awards from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science in November. He probably doesn’t want to rock the boat and get boos instead of a standing O.
Appreciate your thoughts
“He chose to appease the left…”
He didn’t indicate that. He is slithering out of an invitation from the duly elected president of the US
He is making this a political thing
Just accept the award. It is from the American people who elected the President whom he represents
That’s all
