Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel admitted "repulsive" liberal voices are scaring people away from the Democratic Party during an appearance on the "Sarah Silverman Podcast" on Thursday.
The comedians discussed cancel culture persisting on the left since President Donald Trump returned to office. They criticized those who continue to shun Trump voters who are now expressing regret for supporting the president.
Silverman brought up how podcast host Joe Rogan has been attacked online for criticizing Trump's second term after supporting him in the 2024 election. She called it "ironic" that the party of "inclusivity" was "incredibly elitist."
Anti-Trump Kimmel, who campaigned for Democrats in the 2024 election, defended his party while agreeing that some progressive figures have turned people away.
"Yes. But it's not- it's not the party. It's not the majority. It's the loud voices that scare people from saying what they believe and make you think twice about a joke or whatever," he responded.
"You know, a lot of their points are valid, but a lot of them are also just repulsive, in that they repel people," Kimmel continued. "They go like, 'Oh, you're no fun. I don't want to be around you.' And I think that if you had to boil it down to one thing, that's kind of what it is."

Who appointed you to speak for every single other Trump voter? That includes me, who doesn't believe that Trump ever intended to deport "ALL illegals". He was just saying that to throw red meat to people like you because he knew that would energize a good part of his base.
And this entire tangent is about Joe Rogan -- who also voted for Trump -- not wanting him to deport "ALL illegals". So when you claim "everybody else" voted for the same thing you did, that is demonstrably false.
Trump himself just mentioned a few weeks ago that he doesn't want to deport every single illegal. So apparently, even he disagree with you as to what he actually intended to do.
You are the one appointing himself to speak for President Trump and what he meant.
I'm saying what I believed he meant. I fully acknowledge that other people may take what he said differently. And that's my entire point -- when he engages in his "truthful hyperbole", it becomes unclear what is meant to be taken literally, and what isn't.
What do you think he meant when he posted this on Truth Social?:
Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace. In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!

"Protect our farmers but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA" might be taken as him saying that he doesn't want to deport all the illegal farm workers, just the criminals. Or maybe not.
My point is the ambiguity/lack of clarity.
Pick one
fool, stupid, or a liberal stooge.
Well, if you insist....
70% chance you're a fool, 30% chance you're just dumb.
