Nicotinamide is a precursor to the production of NAD+, which is in the mitochondria of every cell in your body. You would die in 30 seconds without NAD+ providing energy to the mitochondria. It is available in capsules and powdered form as either NR (Nicotinamide Riboside) or NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide). I prefer NMN because it doesn’t require as many steps to convert to NAD+ as NR and is slightly cheaper.
It occurs naturally in milk and the body produces it naturally but the production declines after age 40 or so. It has many health benefits beyond those in the article including improved energy levels and mental alertness. A good source of information on this supplement is available on the YouTube channel, ThePulse.
While take a multi-vit+min (when I remember), and drink some green tea, as a 73 yr. old male, 5;4'', 120lbs, and presently rather active, thanks be to God, by His grace and mercy. However, besides stiff arthritic typo-fingers, my mind is becoming increasingly forgetful, and slow, thus I am interested in this Vitamin And Tea Combo.
I do not see much on amazon under $20 for NMN, but are there any more side effects with NMN vs. NR?
