during covid, the American Medical Association (AMA) racked up an impressive 3642 deaths per 1m population in America.
in contract, the african witch doctors watching over a population of 1,553,333,557 people, had a total of 258,892 deaths or 166 deaths per 1m population.
IN OTHER WORDS... during covid you would’ve been far better served being attended to by the average african witch doctor than anyone from the AMA.
FACT
Absolutely yes, however the US Government deserves just as much if not more for how they said “hod my beer” and made everything much worse.
I was going to put a list of approved fda drugs that were forced to recall here, but the list was 10 pages.
The Fda has done far worse than what the Faa did when they let Boeing approve their own work.
Yes, and they deserve more than hate.
Life expectancy up by 11 years since 1950 due in part to new pharmaceuticals. Net profits of pharmaceutical companies around 8.9% (half the profits of oil/gas companies & chip makers for example & way less than railroads at 24.30%).
The best thing that drug makers could due is charge socialized health plans (England, Canada, Germany, Medicare for example) the full cost of the drugs (including R&D and trials which can cost in the tens of millions) and not sell to them if they refuse the full cost. Americans are paying the full price for R&D/trials in the initial patent period (~10 to 15 years after R&D and trials). Refuse socialized medicine’s “take it or leave it” pricing/arm twisting.
« Does big Pharma deserve all the hate? »
More or less.
People who hate drug companies should pledge to take no drugs when they get sick or need sugery — and see what happens.
Sounds like somebody flew directly over the target.
Agreed.
I had a high level of potassium in my blood test results at MD Anderson four months ago. A nephrologist wrote a prescription for a drug that cost $500/month.
Did some research and discovered a 1/2 tsp mixed in cool water would lower my potassium level. It worked and my potassium level was almost within range. I’m sure it’s within range now.
Why yes! Yes it does!
Actually 1 tsp of baking soda stirred in a small glass of cool water. Drink it fast and you really can’t notice the baking soda.
