White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reaffirmed on Tuesday that a trilateral meeting between the presidents of the United States, Russia, and Ukraine – Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Volodymyr Zelensky, respectively – might happen sometime in the future.
Speaking at a press conference, Leavitt explained that the upcoming meeting in Alaska would be between Trump and Putin only as it was the president of Russia who invited his US counterpart to an in-person encounter through Washington's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff. She underscored that Trump's goal is to "walk away with a better understanding" of how the conflict in Ukraine can be ended.
Leavitt added that the US continues to be engaged with Zelensky, Ukraine, and other European partners on the matter.

Aha, I knew it, The Trilateral Commission is in on it!
Lol!
“Well look what the cat drug in....”
Lol!
They should bring the booster seat just in case.
About time Canada and Japan speak up!
I was listening to a political consultant. He said that leaders do not meet until all the details are settled. The idea they’d be negotiating is not realistic. They both have too much at stake to risk bad outcomes. The meeting is to put the best possible face on the outcome. There’ll be a “grip and grin” photo with them looking at the camera.
Therefore I don’t think they can include anyone else at the last moment as that person would also have to be “in” on it. Zelenski probably can’t agree with anything that satisfies Trump and Putin. Politicians do what’s in their own best interest and the settlement Putin and Trump are okay with will be poison to him.
If nothing else, he could try threatening Zelensky with something he fears the most: free elections.
Putin is shorter than Zelensky.
Putin is 5’2”. Medvedev is 5’4”. Zelensky is 5’7”.
Nome, Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks, Attu?
Trump Putin War Cessation:
1- Z out, exiled to Uganda
2- uke Pres election in 30 days. Parliament election in 90 days.
3- uke never NATO
4- new border based on occupied/battle lines
5- armies go home
6- Europe pays for janitorial cleanup
7- Z gives US taxpayer return of grifted $
Tada. Peace.
The Putin isn't trying to join NATO.
Anchorage. And Putin wants a follow up meeting in Yalta in September.
What about Potsdam?
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled WH: Trilateral meeting with Zelensky still possible, Telepathic Intruder wrote: If nothing else, he could try threatening Zelensky with something he fears the most: free elections.
I think that's part of Zelensky's motivation. He declared martial law and on that basis, suspended elections. If the peace agreement goes through, no more martial law and no excuse to suspend elections any longer.
President Trump said (paraphrasing), "You hear 'Save the Ukraine!' and then you look. What's left of it? There are entire cities without a single standing building. That's a 110 year reconstruction effort."
Even cities not flattened were damaged by electrical 'switching attacks' wherein the electrical infrastructure was damaged, as was anything plugged into it, from commercial equipment, medical equipment etc. right down to cell phones.
So elections resume and the citizens are unhappy about forcible conscription of men, the true death toll, flattened cities, electrically dead infrastructure etc. Zelensky has mansions to flee to, along with cash skimmed from USAID. Lots of cash. I don't think his people let him stay. I'm guessing CIA/Intel types have been protecting him this far. Supposedly, General Zalusny (sp) is a likely replacement, and he has no love for Zelensky.
Zelensky and NATO exclaim that no peace agreement will work without him at the meeting, but Trump is withdrawing military aid, and can withdraw humanitarian aid if they want to hold their breath and stamp their feat.
Both Putin and Z are 5,7. President Trump towers over both of them.
Putin is shorter than Medvedev.
(((PING!)))
To be added to the zeeper follies pinglist,
ping me bro... we need laughter!
