I suspect it’s not the choice of the big “whales”, the Asian gamblers that used to be the source of a lot of money for the Vegas casinos. Mom and Dad can’t replace the whales.

I recall that there were frequent tours by chartered planes of Hawaiian Asians who’d fly to Vegas to gamble. It was like a religion; they were embarrassingly enthusiastic about their junkets.
In the ‘70s and ‘80s we loved visiting Vegas. Went back in the ‘90s and it had changed too much — never went back. Too many kids, and prices were too high. The whole atmosphere was yukky.
