Season 1, Episode 16 of
The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show aired on March 6, 1960. That show had the second Dudley Do-Right segment ever aired. It had a bear named Stokey who was hypnotized by Snidely Whiplash to become a pyromaniac. That show wasn't seen again for 40 years after the U.S. Forest Service arrived at Jay Ward's office in full uniform to complaint about the parody:

Way too long ago some brothers at my fraternity decided to acquire some decorations for our house after the midnight hour.
They drove all over the Big Bend area, finding road signs that just happened to have fallen off their posts. They were careful not to take anything that would compromise safety...no stop signs, speed limits, etc. Instead they were large, informational, signs that nobody would miss.
Thus later in the year, when I moved into the house, I had a large, reflective, blue and white sign identifying the area as a particular water district hanging on my wall.
