I had not seen it, and BlackElk (RIP) was always telling me how great it was.I joked that if it was so great, that I should wait for it to return to the big screen,

There was a re-release for the 25th anniversary. I was 33 at the time, and I went in knowing nothing about the story. It was fantastic.

However, since the expiration date on spoilers is long gone, you should NOT be reading threads like this one. If you can see it on the big screen, I recommend it. Coppolla has made bad movies. I have never seen him make a bad looking movie, especially period pieces (Tucker, Cotton Club, Peggy Sue Got Married). I have yet to see GF II on the big screen, but I will when I can. There are more theatres showing classics these days.
