A 6-year-old Southern California boy was dragged and attacked by a coyote at a softball game ..

Enoch Palomar was attending his sister’s game at Del Amo Park in Carson when the attack unfolded...

A person filming the action on the field captured audio of Enoch’s screams as the wild animal was biting him behind the softball field. ,

....

“It just kept biting me and I was trying to kick it,” Enoch told KTLA. “It was too fast and it just jumped. I was trying my hardest and then it didn’t work, and then I yelled.”

Enoch’s mom, Melissa Palomar, heard his screams and sprinted over to help him.

...

In recent years, California’s coyotes have been wandering into urban areas, where they’re known to go after small dogs.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife estimates the state has a coyote population somewhere between 250,000 and 750,000.

That must have been some famished coyote to try that maneuver without his pack behind him. When I was stationed at Camp Pendleton years ago these critters were out every night running through the Camp working the trash cans but they always ran in packs.

Then it’s just a matter of putting the nuts and bolts on the county website, then sending it to each state sheriffs’ association.

I remember when California banned the hunting and trapping of Mountain lions. Now they are everywhere in California.
Surprised the animal lovers have not reintroduced the Grizzly Bear to the Sierras.

We were up around dawn the other morning watering the plants in front. Here comes a
coyote down the sidewalk with a large bird in its mouth, couldn't tell the type of bird.
It looks at us, turns and easily jumps a 6ft block wall at my neighbors across the street.

We live in the city, north Phoenix.

Eventually those folks out there will figure out why their forefathers tried to make coyotes extinct.
