Ukraine sends their Nazi nationalists to terrorize Russian ethnics in eastern Ukraine.

The CIA orchestrate a revolution to overthrow a corrupt but legally elected pro Russian president out of office, and replaces him with an equally corrupt President, who stays in office even after his term of office is over.

Not mentioned: The Crimea was added as part of the Ukraine in the 1950s, but for 2400 years was not a part of that country and is not ethnically Ukrainian.

There is enough bad stuff by both sides, but as I watch the way that there is a lot of experimental stuff going on with how to fight a war with drones and new weapons, I myself wonder if this is just a war game to test new weapons.

Just as it was with The Spanish Civil War, a chance to try out the new toys.

“What the EU thinks is totally irrelevant.”
Exactly. This is just the EU, Obummer and Pocahontas attempting to throw a wrench in ANY agreement in a feeble attempt to thwart the Trump administration.
The same goes for the Israel/Hamas war. The hostages will NEVER be returned.
Israel special forces will attempt to get them out when the IDF goes in to extinguish Hamas-the beloved army of the EU and US demonrats!

The Wall Street Journal is not a reputable news source. They could be making this all up.

Putin’s original war plan goal was a unified Belarus-Ukraine-Moldova tripartite run by Yanukovich.

It’s not “the European powers and Ukraine”.

It’s the CIA/MI6/Global Banks that are driving the non-Russian side of this conflict.

Folks need to rid themselves of the notion that the brave, underdog Ukrainians are standing up to the Big Bad Bolsheviks.

At its core, this conflict has always been a massive land grab attempt by the New World Order folks.

And the only person those guys hate more than Putin is President Trump.

Zelenskyy Rejects President Trump Meeting With Russian President Putin to Formulate Ceasefire Terms

August 9, 2025 | Sundance

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is once again rejecting any consideration for President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss terms for a ceasefire without his involvement.

On a Twitter storm Saturday, Zelenskyy rejected the thought of giving any Ukranian territory to Russia in exchange for peace.

“The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question already is in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will deviate from this—and no one will be able to. Ukrainians will not gift their land to the occupier,” Zelenskyy said.

President Trump announced that he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15, in Alaska.

Zelenskyy reacted, carrying the message from the global intelligence community who support the ongoing conflict, and does not like the idea of the USA and Russia determining the outcome for Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has banned opposition parties in Ukraine, taken control of media, targeted religious groups who he claims are subversive to his interests and cancelled elections in order to remain in power.  Now Zelenskyy hides behind the claim of a constitution his regime modified in order to ensure he alone controls the pathways to peace.

(Via NBC) – A defiant Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared Saturday that his countrymen “will not give their land to occupiers,” after President Donald Trump suggested that a peace deal would include some “swapping” of territories with Russia.

“The answer to Ukraine’s territorial question is already in the constitution of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said in a message on Telegram early Saturday. “No one will and no one can deviate from it. Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier.” (more)

It has been reported that Vladimir Putin’s ceasefire terms include Russia totally controlling the Donbas region.

WASHINGTON – […] Under the proposal being floated by the Trump administration, Russia would agree to a freeze of the war along the contact line in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, where Moscow controls less land than in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, a person familiar with the matter told POLITICO.

In return, Russia would be allowed to keep the Donbas, said the person, granted anonymity to discuss sensitive diplomacy, as others in this article.

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff returned from a meeting with Putin earlier this week and told Trump that the Russian president had presented the terms under which the Kremlin would agree to stop hostilities in Ukraine, a White House official told POLITICO.

The official declined to describe Russia’s terms, but Trump said land swaps between Russia and Ukraine are under discussion. (more)

President Trump does not view a meeting with Putin as a concession.

Key Point:

Under the proposal being floated by the Trump administration, Russia would agree to a freeze of the war along the contact line in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, where Moscow controls less land than in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, a person familiar with the matter told POLITICO.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////

This is consistent with the first report, which was attacked by media preference.

IT IS A WASHINGTON PROPOSAL. That was the original wording. It is not a proposal from Russia. They declared themselves largely in agreement with it, but the proposal itself was carried from Washington by Witkoff.

This could have been months ago. One wonders if other envoys saw fit to edit Trump’s preferences in what they proposed.

Oh and btw, this is a “Territory Swap” as Trump is wording it because:

The northern oblasts that voted to join Russia . . .they will be Russian 100%. The southern oblasts also voted to join Russia but they are less liberated/occupied and this is a Russia concession. Rather than demand all that territory of those oblasts that voted to join Russia 100%, the Kremlin is willing to accept the line of combat, which would trade away some small chunk of that land as a concession.

Hence territory swap. We do not know anything about the territory north near Sumy and Kharkiv. One would presume Russia will trade away the Sumy area land they have in return for all of Kharkiv, but there has been no commentary on this area of de facto land transfer.

---- "Is Europe going to stop buying Russian oil?"

The media noise functions, in part, to make less noticeable the "con."

The "con" is that the EU will import Russian oil until the end of 2027.

Hotlinks for ease of verification:

"The EU will gradually and effectively stop the import of Russian gas and oil by the end of 2027, under a legislative proposal put forward by the European Commission today." [ Note that this is a "proposal, and not actually as yet enacted. ]

Commission proposes gradual phase-out of Russian gas and oil imports into the EU European Commisson, 16 June 2025.

More sources....

EU Proposes Ban on Russian Oil, Gas Imports by End 2027 Wall Street Journal, 17 June 2025.

EU plans gradual end to Russian gas and oil imports by 2027 Financial World, 17 June 2025.

EU proposes complete ban on Russian gas and oil imports by end of 2027 World ECR from Dow Jones, 19 June 2025.

EU sets 2027 as deadline to phase out all Russian energy Euro News, 6 May 2025.

EU proposes keeping gas storage filling goals until 2027 Reuters, 5 May 2025.

EU plans to stop Russian gas and oil imports by 2027 Yahoo Finance, 18 June 2025.

So, your question is most apt. The Europeans want their cake in order to eat it too. The chitter-chat about "ceasefire" is to try to figure out how to get Russian energy products to continue to transit through Ukraine, for which Ukraine had been getting paid.

Why not tell Putin to take any deal he can get or remove him from power

First, we don't have the capability of removing Putin from power.

Secondly, we're not bankrolling the Russian government or military but have spent more than $200 billion on Ukraine.

The Ukraine government couldn't function without US tax dollars.
