The Trump administration is targeting UCLA again for the second time in a week, seeking to force the school to pay a $1 billion fine for alleged antisemitism on campus.
The news broke Friday, a week after grant funding to the university was frozen.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the federal government’s proposal would restore that grant funding, worth more than $500 million, in exchange for the $1 billion fine.
University of California System President James Milliken confirmed that they’ve “just received a document from the Department of Justice and [are] reviewing it.”

Any fines for years of anti-white racism? For all the courses about “white supremacy” and “systematic racism” and the evils of “white colonialism” and blaming “whiteness” for all the world’s ills?
I love how Trump is completely transactional. I actually respect that about him.
These actions should not be transactional between Trump and just certain schools whose antisemitism, or other racist discrimination has been made so noticeable lately. It should be a federal policy notice out to all colleges and universities and federal investigations of all of them. I really am not interested in the fines as much as enforced changes in their behavior that threaten all forms of federal money to them.

..endowment is about 30 billion...return on investment for endowment was about 12% in 2024. They won’t be hurting. Time we taxed the rich public institutions also...UC still respected (if you subtract the DEI admissions, the woke, and Islamic influences)...but with those mindsets....it’s a outhouse pit.
