“Blondi calling Epstein case closed nothing to see here was the BEST thing that ever happened to her.”
Doing hard work = a good thing, but having zero credibility (”case closed”) is a not insignificant liability. Let’s be clear: she lied, and she lied about one the highest-profile crime since the Lindbergh kidnapping and the JFK assassination. It doesn’t require a lot of interpretation to consider her word to be garbage.
Bondi vowed to release the list, telling Fox News on Feb. 21, “It’s sitting on my desk right now to review” — a reference to the long-awaited and much-speculated-about list of powerful figures connected to the late disgraced financier.
But after months of investigation, the Department of Justice and the FBI said “there is no such list. “
I agree.
The personal credibility of Blondi, Patel, and Bongino has been hurt beyond repair.
But it was Trump or someone else’s call that led to the Epstein mess.
It appears Trump is fine with a DOJ and FBI which must operate without appearing in front of a camera and microphone.
In a strange way, it appears to be working out.
Trump has his wish of not confronting the Esptein affair head on, and at the same time the DOJ and FBI appear to be getting some things done.
If I look at it from Trump’s POV, this is the best DOJ/FBI that he has ever had.
A better DOJ than with Little Beauregard Sessions or the Traitor Billy Barr and a better FBI than with Comey or Wray.
