Take vit K with D...to help prevent calcification
Much can be done with supplements to improve health conditions. For any health problem simply contact Dr. Google and ask for: Nutrition and supplements to help xxxxxxxx. I started taking supplements over 50 years ago to stop varicose veins, and added more as other health issues surfaced.
Four years ago when a doctor said I would need cataract surgery soon, I found a number of items I was not yet taking: astaxanthin; zeaxanthin; eyebright/blueberry; lutein; bilberry. My eyesight is now 70 to 80% improved. A sunny day is no longer painful, and headlight glare no longer bothers my night driving.
After Vitamin D was mentioned in connection with Covid-19 treatment, I began taking D3, and subsequently added Vitamins K 2 and then 1. I have been using Kaiser Permanent for more than a decade. Over the years I had shrunk from 5’5” to only 5’3”. Two years and since I have measured 5’4”. My last physical I questioned their measurement, and they definitely found 4, not 3 inches, but the previous 5 years all said 3”.
In addition I have been stage 3 for kidney issues. My glomerular filtration rate (GFR) has also improved. I wonder if the same mechanism that has helped the liver in this study, is also helping my kidneys? I am currently 87 and active with only 2 minor meds—levothyroxin for thyroid, and drops to prevent glaucoma in one eye that has optic nerve damage probably due to accidental violent head movement.
