In the long history of Russia it has given the world two remarkable things. Great authors and great scientists. The other millions are but winnowed chaff.
They gave a run for the money during the space race, made their own nuclear weapons, and were the source of the Periodic Table of the Elements. Russians have contributed much more to science than I suppose you know.
