The fastest and best cure for those who think Socialism is the answer is to send them to a Socialist country. I think Venezuela, Cuba, or Russia would be a good place to send them (all expenses paid...oneway). If you take the time to talk to one of these Leftist idiots, they know virtually nothing about Socialism, but have been told in school that it’s the answer to all social ills. History is strewn with the wreckage wreaked by Socialism, from New Harmony to modern-day Venezuela. Too bad these idiots aren’t smart enough to investigate it themselves.

I read the article... It in no way advocates for socialism. In fact, it points out most of the flaws in socialism and why it does not, cannot, work.
I may be missing some history between you and the OP, but from just my observing this one thread, your statement seems off-base.

We are a socialist country.
So is all of Western Europe. So is Canada. So is Australia and New Zealand. So is Israel. So is most (all?) of the rest of the world.
You can pretend we aren't socialist. But our generous "safety net" would have been considered Communist the conservatives of the 1930s.

My point was... This artical is anti-socialism, but a pro-socialism claim was erroneously made. Nothing more, nothing less was meant by me.
