I live in a 2025 version of 1960’s Mayberry. Kids still ride their bikes here, and walk to get ice cream or go to the one screen movie theater or to the library. It’s a cute, decent little town where it has slow walked “progress”.
That being said, you’re probably right. My 4 year old grandson (in California) has an iPad to amuse him when on an airplane or a long car ride. Lord, I hope they don’t give him a phone when he’s 10. Kids don’t understand how many predators are out there. Parents need to keep a watchful eye on their children when these devices are given at a young age.
Wow. I was born in ‘59, by five we were kept busy with books to read and coloring books, lots of age appropriate chores too, don’t tell the parents you’re bored, lol.
