The family should be charged a fee for the frequent pickups and maybe they’ll stop

They were trying to discipline the child mildly, and she has a total meltdown. She has a mental/behavioral disorder. Chances are the child needs residential in-house treatment of some sort, but that usually isn't provided until something "big" happens (which is then too late). I have no idea why it is the fire department instead of a "crisis team" or police that show up.
