Considering that the Syrian civil war caused more than half a million violent deaths between 2011 and the present it would be very hard to prove or even make it plausible that it was Israeli bombings that caused the exodus of civilians from Syria into Jordan and Turkey and then onto Europe.
Of course you are correct. The Syrian was was classic Shiite vs Sunni war with the Iranian backed Alewites being the Shiites. Israel was hands off in the extended squabble that Russia was very involved in and the USA less so
