Lose your fat and you’ll lose your apnea, in most cases.
Or get a mattress that leans up slightly.

No thanks. I’ve discovered over the years and thru many friends and relatives that there is no magic pill.

I’ve had it since I weighed 135 pounds and wrestled in the 141 pound class back in the 90s.

It’s not always weight.

I’m extremely lean and do the bed tilt thing. Doesn’t do a thing.

Reluctantly wear the fighter mask.

Men with thick necks and a mesomorphic build just get it. My doctor works with NFL players. Basically all of them have sleep apnea. Boxers, too.

I’ll absolutely be first in line for this. Can’t use the mask during allergy season.

"AD109 is a neuromuscular modulator that increases upper airway muscle tone"

OK, now develop a pill for my pecs, delta, triceps, biceps, quads, and glutes.

Did you ever try EPAP?

Of course.

Don't lose weight, which is what most apnea/snoring comes from. Just take a pill.

Unfortunately, I have obstructive and central apnea.

Central means that, basically, your brain “forgets” to breath.

Scary crap.

I’ve seen all kinds of “miracle” pillows that are supposed to solve the problem.

I’ve ignored the diagnosis. I refuse to sleep with a machine. So did my registered nurse friend.

No magic pill sounds about right to me too.

How does a pill affect only the muscle tone of the ‘upper airways’?

I’m guessing there would be a LOT of side effects.

Also, why does it take a full 26 weeks (half of a year) to get 50% efficacy? Why so slow acting at such a low rate?

We did a lot of neck bridges back in the day and my doctor said I just have the anatomy for apnea. So you’re right.

After 6 months? Hardly worth looking at.

I have a co-worker that uses the apnea mask. He says it wakes him up about three times a night.

My doctor has been pushing me to get a sleep study done, but I know that’s just a prelude to a predetermined diagnosis of “sleep apnea.”
