Yes. And we can choose our trading partners as well.

I take this stance not out of any support for the execrably corrupt Ukrainian government (who only feigns friendship with the USA for our money, they are not our friends) or any hatred of Russia, but because we are STILL sending money to that bottomless piece of crap area on that side of the world, and the sooner it stops, the sooner we can stop finding excuses to send MY tax payments over there.

And I do have sympathy for both Ukrainian and Russian men being fed into the meat grinder, as I do believe Trump does.

If they (India, China, and Iran) won’t cut off the funding for the war on both sides, Trump can make it harder for all of them to contribute to funding it (with their energy expenditures paid to Russia or Iran) and I am good with that.
