Amazing how all these afflictions originate in China...
I think this one is from Africa. The problem in China, and many third-world areas, is the concentration of people. So it's easy to jump from one person to the next.

The earlier pre-Communist ones date back hundreds of years.
A couple of the major ones were traced later to be from China, not the places in Europe and elsewhere originally assumed.
Satan has a hand in his Chinese workers’ actions.
