I drove through the town and walked the streets when Clint was Mayor - it was a quaint and nice place - with a big drop to get to the beach....his house was nice - but not a mansion.
I still have that t-shirt Clint signed. Might be worth something some day but I wouldn’t give it up.
He signed it right over the print of the Running Boar ...
Yep, that’s where I got the shirt.
Ah, yeah ....
We lived relatively near Carmel and would stay there occasionally usually at the Vagabond Inn when they had wood-burning fireplaces. The restaurants and ambiance were out of this world. What a treat.
Where did you stay in Big Sur?
Rented a house on Partington Ridge for the school year. Belonged to Sam Hopkins. top house. on the hill, literally and figuratively. ;Sam was son or grandson of railroad baron Mark Hopkins whose mansion on Nob Hill was rebuilt to become the Mark Hopkins Hotel. Coincidentally, I stayed at that hotel with my family one summer on vacation when I was twelve years old.
Don’t blame you - If I had one I’d pass it on to keep it in the family....
