Just imagine if all the iPhones had their hotspot activated. She could have been a walking cell tower.

You would think that they would have at least removed the batteries.

She got greedy.

Should have played it safe and only glued 25 phones to her body.

One phone over the line, sweet Jesus, one phone over the line.

**********

Reminds me of the Ellen Degeneres bit back when she just started out and was actually funny:

Pretending to be in airplane seat: Stewardess says all seat is fully upright position. She leans back 3 inches and says, “Dead.” Leans back forward 3” and says “Alive.” Then does it a couple more times.

And they say exposure to the EMF does not cause brain cancer? I have several friends that have died from brain cancer. And it seems to be more frequent now- WHY? Some people are on their phones several hours a day.

She glued them on so the monkeys couldn’t steal them

Is having 26 iPhones illegal?
Why did I she feel the need to glue them to herself?
Just carry them in a suitcase for Pete’s sake!

I did not read the article. You are correct, it could have been the super glue.

Respiratory symptoms, though less common, can occur in sensitized individuals exposed to cyanoacrylate vapors. Prolonged inhalation in poorly ventilated environments has been linked to rhinitis, nasal congestion, sneezing, and watery discharge. Occupational exposure, particularly among nail technicians and industrial workers, has been associated with asthma-like symptoms, including wheezing and shortness of breath. Case reports have documented occupational asthma in individuals working in high airborne cyanoacrylate concentrations, with spirometry tests revealing reversible airflow obstruction.

Midnight Express! Very impressionable movie when I was younger. To this day still makes me NOT want to go to foreign countries.

She was probably looking at making $200-500 per phone, so not a small operation she was running. They sell things in Paraguay where Brazilian “tourists” buy them for resell back in Brazil, mostly Sao Paulo.

Yes, there is a risk.

Higher frequency and power density makes cancer risk higher.

Lower frequency not so much.

Non ionizing radiation.

It is even possible that she had some major health issue having nothing to do with the phones.

Like, hypertension cause by the perceived risks of smuggling and getting caught?

Bluetooth is RF

Very low power, seldom transmitting.

Yeah, that non-ionizing radiation will get you every time!

The highest frequency of RF is 1000 times less than the lowest wavelength that ionizes.

If she was on a bus without air conditioning in Brazil, that’s already about as hot an humid as you can get. Add to that the fact that she’d just disabled roughly 468 square inches of her sweat glands, maybe she just died of plain old overheating.
