President Trump ordered the dismissal Friday of the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), hours after the economic data collection agency released a report showing unemployment ticked up last month.
Now-former BLS Commissioner Erika McEntarfer, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, triggered Trump’s fury after her agency announced lower than expected employment gains in July and revised the numbers for May and June downward by a total of 258,000 jobs.
The president accused McEntarfer of manipulating the data and charged that she had done so in the past.

But it was only a little adjustment for two months this year. It was only a nearly 90% reduction in the numbers. Just correcting a little mistake.

Almost a million jobs added in 6 months for Biden, and over a quarter million lost since Trump took office......not bloody likely.
“McEntarfer said there were only 73,000 Jobs added [in July 2025] (a shock!) but, more importantly, that a major mistake was made by them, 258,000 Jobs downward, in the prior two months. [May and June of 2025 leaving only something like 33,000 jobs created in two months ]”
This was not a report. It is a political statement.

“Revisions for May and June were larger than normal. The change in total nonfarm payroll employment
for May was revised down by 125,000, from +144,000 to +19,000, and the change for June was revised
down by 133,000, from +147,000 to +14,000. With these revisions, employment in May and June
combined is 258,000 lower than previously reported. (Monthly revisions result from additional
reports received from businesses and government agencies since the last published estimates and
from the recalculation of seasonal factors.)”

Let that sink in. How can it possibly be believed? I guess they took out every single gooberment job that Trump even thought about eliminating?
Sadly she was appointed 86-8 votes in the senate. Even though Biden appointee, most senators love her.
I was a data analyst for around 15 years.....I can assure you, you can make the data say whatever you want.....trust me.
Which is why personally speaking, I believe polling about as far as I can throw my Jeep.
